LORD FLEA

hello, welcome to my blog. i am lord flea, named after a famed calypso singer who died too soon. aside from singing, i also art:

lord flea, the mythmaker, mesmerizer, singer of Truth...join me!

by calling myself lord flea, i fancy on carrying out the tradition that flea started (please see YouTube.com re: “lord flea” … i’ll see if i post that old movie clip, when i learn how to, sometime soon)… with his jolly openness, strong physicality, his startlingly new (for that time, the fifties) bluntness and outrageous flamboyance–like him, the original lord flea–i sing the uplifting song of the people. no disgruntled words here. no dissing of politics, or any others. the people i’m most interested in talking about, and arting about, are those who understand (or at least suspect) that something about this so-called life we’re living, is ohhhh so much more than we will ever know about.

sharing the Mystery. doing the collective Dance. finding others of my tribe and letting it all out, with shouts of YES YES YES!! that’s what calypso is all about. joyous rhythms, meandering topics, light-hearted insights–all for fun, singing the praise of being alive!
